Seamless Data Collection Using Multiple Base Stations
Download Network – Utilizing multiple base stations increases the potential for downloading GPS data from GPS devices. Base stations are standalone. You can utilize them with no other equipment on hand such as an antenna and laptop. You just need the base station within range of the GPS device for remote data retrieval. Our entire product line offers a vast range of up to 30 kilometers, in ideal conditions.
If multiple base stations are utilized, each base station knows what data another base station already downloaded and will not download again. Once all the data are downloaded into the user software, there is a simple process whereby the data from multiple base stations are merged into one large file. Remember, if you ever lose a base station before you download the data into the user software, short of retrieving the GPS device, that data is gone for good. So, it is best not to let that happen.
