Choose Between Basic or Programmable VHF
While it is true that is some cases it will be easier to received a remote data download than it will be to pick up a VHF signal, the VHF tracking portion of the equipment is something most wildlife biologists still want. We offer 2 different types of VHF transmitter. One is rather basic and uses less power, the other is more programmable but uses more power.
During your information gathering process, we can discuss the pros and cons of both systems. The programmable option offers you choices like having the VHF off for weeks at a time, or coming on and off throughout the year or even the day. And we have created a way for the VHF to always know the time so you don’t have to worry about the time drifting resulting in an unreliable schedule.
