This optional feature for Nano GPS enables accelerometer data capture before and after each scheduled GPS position fix. Sampling occurs at 1 Hz, with a configurable window of 2–30 samples before and after the GPS event. The collected Accelerometer data are stored in the memory alongside the GPS position and are transmitted remotely. This provides contextual motion information around location updates, useful for detecting movement patterns and classifying device state.
