Seamless Data Transfers : Long-Range Automatic Download

The automatic data download is an innovative feature for each product in our line that will change the way people get data. With this advanced technology, GPS data stored on each device will be transmitted wirelessly to a specialized base station. That’s the beauty of this system: it’s fully automated and operates independently of users. Whenever a GPS device and base station are within range and new data appear on the device, it floats over to the base station to simply be retrieved by the biologist.

The system allows for multiple base stations, which can consolidate data with our user software. While the maximum range is as high as 40 km, this will be different under practical field conditions. A full line-of-sight allows for a range of 25 km, which can be very reliable and far exceeds expectations, ensuring robust data transmission.
