Flexible GPS Timeout Settings at Your Disposal
The GPS Schedule that you can create can be as simple as a repeating interval using a single GPS timeout setting or you can create a highly varied schedule. When you use the latter method, you are not limited to using the same GPS timeout for every GPS position attempt.
The benefit may arise in the form or more data and longer battery life. If you know that, during some part of the day, the animal is in dense cover but at other times in the day the animal is more likely to be in the open, you can set different GPS timeouts accordingly.
GPS timeout refers to the maximum length of time that you are allowing the GPS to be on each time it turns on. Most product lines offer you choices between 60, 90 or 120 seconds but one of our products also allows you to choose 30 seconds.
GPS timeout is a very important setting not to be confused with GPS Additional Time.

All of our products can send you information by satellite. The range of the data download varies depending upon conditions. The radio portion of the download has been demonstrated to work up to 40 km., but this is maximum under ideal conditions.
