Wildlife GPS

Explore advanced GPS devices for wildlife research

Nano GPS -10.5 grams

The idea for this GPS came in 2015 on a flight from Sydney to San Francisco.  Back at home, we made one phone call to a prospective user, he wanted them and in 2016 we started selling Nano GPS.

Nano Enhanced - 18 grams

In 2015 we did a project for pygmy rabbits and it went well.  Then, several years later another pygmy rabbit project popped up and we knew we could make a better product. That is the Nano Enhanced origination story.

Small GPS - 30 grams

A 2008 meeting with a wildlife biologist was the impetus for the Small GPS product development.  It is a rock-solid, reliable GPS device because we have continued making incremental improvements .

Nano GPS Backpacks - 5 grams

When someone approached us asking for a small GPS backpack for Western Swamp Turtles, Nano GPS was the obvious solution.  Then they added, "please make it articulate."  So we did.

Iridium GPS Collars - 135 grams

This product is now in its third generation.  In 2023 we consolidated onto one circuit board a UHF download, VHF beacon, drop off and solar controller. Multiple battery combinations are possible.

Nano Enhanced Packs - 10 grams

If we can step up product performance, we do it. That is where the "enhanced" comes from.  There is only a narrow application for Nano Enhanced but it fills a niche between the Nano and the Small GPS.

GPS Pods - 160 grams

Our GPS Pod is a stand-alone unit that easily attaches to your existing VHF collars.  They are instantly converted into a GPS collar for large mammals. Size the collar then fix the pod at center top for a perfect fit.

Small GPS Backpacks - 17 grams

At a minimum there are four components in this product, the battery, the electronic circuit, the GPS antenna and the data transfer antenna.  We will always configure them all to fit your application.
